About Felicity Educational Services
Our Story
Felicity Educational Services (FES) was founded to assist with the activities and amplify the ideals and values of Felicity School in suburban Chicago. As an independent company, FES is able to provide essential functions that Felicity School is restricted because of its regulatory relationship with the Illinois State Board of Education. FES, for example, can provide public awareness about disabilities and mental health, offer professional development in education, meet the transportation needs for special needs students and more. One major function of FES is to fundamentally and positively change the manner and method educational institutions and businesses work together with students to become more independent, experience job success firsthand, and learn business best practices. FES had expanded its work to include other communities & populations that need second chances and additional supports to ensure successful transitions to the workplace, realize independence and create opportunities for individual happiness.
The Phoenix
The Mythological Phoenix consistently rises from the ashes to be reborn with new possibilities. Felicity Educational Services is committed to providing such beginnings and experiences for underserved populations. Felicity provides a therapeutic environment for students who struggle at traditional schools, while also creating opportunities for individuals who had previously fallen down. The Phoenix’s flames and rebirth symbolizes the potential in everyone, especially those facing unique and difficult obstacles to success.
Second Chances
Felicity is pleased to have partnerships with organizations that support those in need of advocacy, guidance and employment. We work in partnership with these groups to recruit, hire, train and support those impacted by a justice experience. 100% of our staff shares this common experience and work daily to grow and learn and stay on a good path.
We take a holistic approach to preparing individuals to be self-sufficient. It not only provides jobs to returning citizens, victims of abuse and others who face barriers to employment, but also offers a wide range of training, education, mentoring and networking opportunities. Our hiring practices are designed to help people turn their lives around and provide for their families.
Establishing Future Community Success
Felicity Education was founded on the principle that a great and appropriate education was a right for all students. Schools should be welcoming safe environments where EVERY student can achieve success regardless of obstacles in the way.
Felicity is proud to work in partnership with local schools and school districts serving students who are eligible for special education services in the categories of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Emotional Disability (ED; i.e. depression), Learning Disability (LD; i.e. dyslexia), and Other Health Impairments.
Students are given part time work, training and support that will assist them in gaining employment, post graduation.
